AXIS Paresis

A comprehensive neurorehabilitation program designed for children and adults with lesions of the nerve plexus, spinal root or peripheral nerve of various origins.

Indications:

  • lesion of the nerve plexus, spinal root or peripheral nerve of different origin (paresis of the plexus brachialis, lesion of the plexus lumbosacralis, neuropathy of the n.radialis, n.ulnaris, n.obturatorius, n.femorali, n.tibialis, n.peroneus)
The aim is to improve blood microcirculation and trophism of the paralysed muscles, to prevent the development of joint contractures or to reduce the manifestations of contractures of the affected limb, to increase the range of passive and active movements in the joints of the limb, to strengthen the flaccid muscles of the affected limb, to improve the supporting function of the affected limb, to alleviate postural or curvature disorders of the back, to shape and refine physiological movement stereotypes and thus to improve the quality of life and to promote maximal social adaptation.
The duration of the course is from 1 week, a team of professionals works with the patient 3-4 hours a day, 6 days a week.
